Living on a Highway

Driving down that highway - on a highway with no end,
I don't know where I'm going - and don't know who me send
Speeding up the motor - and trees a flying by
And with the cars I'm taken over -I guess I'm on a fly

Hey, hey, hey, that's the way I live all day,
Hey, hey, hey, on the fly don't rest and stay

Feeling kind of lonely - so restless all the day
I never had a home and - not a place to stay
No-one's waiting for my - nothing feels like home
Thousands driving people - all on a highway so alone

Hey, hey, hey, if that's the way I live all day,
Hey, hey, hey, on the fly don't rest and stay,
Hey, hey, hey, you might ask, if that's OK?
And I say: I'm living on a highway

Miles and miles I'm going - towns are passing by
Hours left by hours - and I'm tired, that I could die
That's the way that I am living - Won't tell you no lie
The highway is my home and - I could live there till I die
